Griffith On The Go

Imagine reporting Graffiti, Potholes, Broken Street Lights or Signs while you go about your daily activities. You can do that and more with Griffith On The Go. This is a free phone app designed primarily for residents of Griffith, Indiana. The app includes a rotating rolodex of important community numbers that dials when the button is pressed. The Town's events calendar and several municipal Facebook links are also available at the touch of a button. The most important tool that is included on the app is the ability to report a problem to the Town. After starting a new report, the user can use the smartphone GPS with a button on the map or drag and zoom to the correct map location. Next the user has an option to take and submit a photo of the problem. The final step is to pick a problem category (service request or code violation) and choose the issue type from a predefined list. There are options for submitting more information which further describes the problem and the submitters contact information before final submission.
The information will be sent to Town staff where the issue location, image and details can be viewed in order to schedule Town staff to inspect & resolve a problem.
